First opened in 1955 and renovated in 2001, Daehan Theater has a long history. It
has 8 wide-screens, state-of-the-art chairs and sound system. At the
rooftop there is an outdoor lounge which is similar to a garden. Here
you can enjoy the relaxing space in the middle of the city. Daehan
Theater also boasts an exclusive entrance from Chungmuro subway station. The
theater building consists of 9 floors in total. The ticket boxes are on the B1
and 1st floor. On the B1 floor there is a ticket vending machine. There
are snack bars on every floor, Starbucks Coffee on the 1st floor and a food court
on the 3rd floor where you can eat various dishes such as sandwiches, naengmyeon
(korean cold noodles), Japanese food, etc. On the 7th floor there is
a lounge and a balcony, and on the 8th floor there is a restaurant. If
you have spare time before the movie, you can rest on the 7th or 8th floor. Chungmuro,
where Daehan theater is located, is also famous for pet shops. Since
there are many pet shops there, it will be a pleasant walk to look around the
pet shops nearby.
