On top of Yongdu-bong Peak (dragon's head peak),
the highest peak of Mt.Namsan is the Seoul Tower
where one can view Seoul from the lookout point.
The Seoul Tower, which was constructed in August
1975, is the third highest tower in the world
at 479.7meters above sea level.
The Tower was opened to the public on October
15, 1981 and became a tourist attraction. On a
clear day, one can see as far as the sea front
of Incheon. Even Mt.Songaksan of Gaeseong can
be seen. At night, the panoramic view of Soul's
night scene is breathtakingly beautiful. Tourists
may also see Palgakjeong and Bongsudae Peak. One of the major features of
the Seoul Tower is that one can learn about the
various traditions and culture of other nations
at the Museum of Global Folk Villages. Displayed
are rare relics relating to ceremonial tools,
food, clothing and shelter collected from about
150 countries around the world..
